Specified for your unit

The product, the machine and the dilution have to match

How it works

From concentrate to dialysis fluid

A two-part concentrate is not a finished fluid. It is proportioned at the machine, which is why the product and the machine setting have to be specified together.

  1. Part A

    Acid concentrate

Solution or dry acid, depending on the product line

  2. Part B

    Sodium bicarbonate

    Powder, cartridge or sealed pouch

  3. Water

    Treated water

Prepared at the unit to the required standard

Haemodialysis machine

Proportioned at the dilution the product is formulated for

35X, 36.83X or 45X, named in the product itself

Result

Dialysis fluid, ready for treatment

Part A and Part B are proportioned with treated water by the machine, at the dilution the product is formulated for, to produce the dialysis fluid used during treatment. Because the two parts and the machine setting have to match, we confirm the specification before any supply arrangement is agreed.

In treatment

Where the concentrate ends up

Dialysis fluid made from the concentrate we supply passes through the dialyser while the patient's blood runs on the other side of the membrane. Everything upstream of that — formulation, presentation, delivery date — exists to keep that session on schedule.
